“I thought those stories would be here forever”

One of the biggest regrets of people around us and their relatives is that they didn’t take more notice, that they didn’t capture those stories.  “I thought those stories would be here forever.”

It can be incredible to think back about what you might have lived through, a global pandemic, the beginning of the internet maybe or even the start of mobile phones.  We all enjoy telling stories about our experiences, our successes and failures.  We might even get bored of hearing the same stories from family members, over and over again.

Then they are gone.

We miss those stories, how the person used to tell them, how exactly they used to word it and even what their voice sounded like.

So why not start capturing the stories around you, yours, and people you love, with permission.  To share with others or to keep for yourself and give an insight into the mundane yet wonderful experiences that person alone had.

Most people carry a voice recording device with them on their phone, or you can write it down, video it or even scrap book those experiences.  It doesn’t matter how you do it, it is just important to capture those stories before they disappear forever.
